Privacy policy
This page explains what BimmerExpert does with the information you send us. It is short because we collect little.
This is a template, not legal advice, and it must not go live unreviewed. It is written to be plainly true of a small engineering firm that receives technical material by email and chat, so that the owner and a lawyer have a real draft to correct rather than a blank page.
Every { } placeholder must be filled, and a lawyer in the contracting jurisdiction must review the whole page before launch. Clause 8 in particular depends on the entity’s jurisdiction.
Who we are
BimmerExpert is operated by {legal entity}, registered in {country}. We are the controller of the information described on this page. Write to {privacy contact address} with any question about it.
What we collect
Only what you send us. From the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company, Telegram handle, country, a link, and the text of your brief. From email or Telegram: whatever your message contains. If a job proceeds, the technical material you supply — reads, binaries, schematics, logs, hardware.
Why we hold it
To answer your message, to assess and carry out the work you ask for, and to keep the records a business is required to keep. We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not send newsletters.
Technical material
Files, binaries, schematics and hardware you send us are treated as confidential and are held under the NDA that covers the work. They are stored on our own systems, are accessible only to the engineers assigned to your job, and are never resold, published or added to any shared database. We delete or return them on request, and hardware is returned to you.
Who else sees it
Nobody, except the providers that operate our email, our hosting and {form or CRM provider, if any}. We do not sell information and we do not share it with advertisers. Where a job requires a subcontractor, we tell you first and they work under the same NDA.
How long we keep it
Messages that do not lead to work are deleted after {retention period}. Project records are kept for {retention period} after the work ends, or longer where accounting or tax law requires it. Technical material is deleted or returned at the end of the engagement unless you ask us to retain it for support.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and embeds nothing from a third party. Nothing about your visit is recorded beyond the standard server log our host keeps, which holds an IP address for {log retention period} for security purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so within {number} days. If you are in the {UK / EEA / other}, you also have the right to complain to {supervisory authority}. Write to {privacy contact address}.
